The life of the barber chair is one of many facets. Confessions, opinions, advice, and, of course, the obligatory haircut are commonplace in this most hallowed of gentlemen’s reserves. And whether or not you know it, there’s something utterly soothing about the hum of the shears and the snip of the scissors.
So in our opinion, it makes perfect sense to add a relaxing drink into the mix which is exactly what the good folk of The Barber Shop have done. This establishment has a very distinctive old world feel with vintage tools and classic cut and shave services. But just through the partition door is a drinks emporium reminiscent of a 1920’s cocktail bar.
What’ll it be sir? A cut, a shave, and a Manhattan if you please. Safe to say, we’re sold on this idea.
If you’re after the perfect look and a bit of self-indulgence then what better way to spoil yourself for all those long hours spent in the office than a trip to a custom tailor. There is one accessory, though, that while we’re not experts on, we have a bit of a thing for, and that’s the dress watch. And our personal favourite haunt for fawning over luxury timepieces is The Hour Glass. From Rolex to Casio and everything in between, if you’ve got a watch style in mind, the chances are that you’ll find it here. With stores throughout Asia and three right here in Australia, these purveyors of high-end watches will steer you in the right direction.
